Newcastle United continue to be linked with new faces after their takeover, with Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady one of them.
The Sun report that Newcastle fancy signing Coady in January in order to bolster their defensive options.
Frank McParland is advising new owners PIF, and he is recommending a move to sign Coady.
McParland worked with Coady at Liverpool and now wants to see him join Newcastle as their new defensive leader.
Wolves are expected to demand north of £20million for Coady if they are to sell, but Newcastle may be able to pay that after their takeover.
Wolves fans react to Newcastle wanting Coady
Newcastle fans seem excited about the potential of Coady joining them, and Wolves fans are pretty split.
Some think Wolves can’t afford to let Coady go, believing he will be needed when Romain Saiss and Willy Boly head to Africa Cup of Nations.
Others believe Coady’s leadership is just too important, even if £20million could be good business.
There are also some Wolves fans who claim they would drive Coady to Newcastle, urging Wolves to take the money and run.
