Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will fight for the Premier League title this weekend, and Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa will play a big role in deciding where the trophy ends up.
Liverpool are a point behind last season’s champions and current leaders Manchester City in the Premier League table at the moment.
Klopp’s side will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on the final day of the season.
Guardiola’s City will take on Villa at the Etihad Stadium at the same time.
If Liverpool win against Wolves and City lose or draw with Villa, then the Premier League trophy will head to Anfield.
And, judging by Gerrard’s comments after the match against Burnley last night, he wants to win the game against City and give the Villa fans something to be proud of.
Steven Gerrard on Liverpool, Manchester City and Aston Villa
Gerrard told BBC Sport: “Our supporters deserve it [a good performance against Manchester City on Sunday]. We’re 14th.
“The fans have been incredible, following us near and far. The least we can do is try to make them proud.
”We can’t control people asking us questions [about the title race]. We just have to focus on preparing in the best way we can. There are three points to play for.”
Who’ll win Premier League title?
In our opinion, Manchester City are the clear favourites to win against Aston Villa and beat Liverpool to the Premier League title.
Yes, Villa are a good team, but City are far too superior and have some of the best players in the world.
And they are at home.
Now, we expect Liverpool to win against Wolves, but we also predict City to beat Villa.
